DEJ Productions Inc., the film acquisition and distribution subsidiary of Blockbuster Inc., (NYSE: BBI) today announced the acquisition of the film HOME ROOM starring Erika Christensen (SWIMFAN, TRAFFIC), Busy Phillipps (FREAKS AND GEEKS, DAWSON’S CREEK) and Victor Garber (ALIAS, TITANIC). The film revolves around the unlikely friendship that develops between two survivors (Christensen and Phillipps) of a tragic high school shooting. HOME ROOM was the winner of the "Best of Fest" Audience Award at the 2002 Santa Cruz Film Festival. "HOME ROOM is an extremely compelling film with a powerful message. Erika Christensen and Busy Phillipps shine in their roles," stated Andy Reimer, vice president of acquisitions. "We are extremely excited to bring this important film to audiences worldwide." DEJ Productions plans to release the film theatrically in the fall and on DVD and VHS in the fourth quarter.
